Born in England, I was brought up travelling the world, finally settling in Australia as a teenager.
Whilst my family laid their hat in Melbourne, I soon moved to Canberra after being accepted as an Officer Cadet at the Australian Defence Force Academy. I graduated with a degree in Politics and History as an Intelligence Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force.
My first posting was to Richmond in Sydney where for the next three years I travelled with our transport aircraft working primarily with the army throughout Asia and the Pacific. Having worked during many crises, including the Bali bombings, one of the most life-changing experiences was my tour in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan. Such experiences have proved invaluable.
Upon return, I was posted to HMAS Kuttabul at Potts Point where I completed my Masters degree in International Law and eventually retired.
Having already gained some valuable experience in the real estate industry and it was a natural career progression.
Over the next couple of years, together with Michael Marquette, we learned from some of the best agents in the industry at some of the best independent and boutique agencies.
During this time we honed our ideas of how to innovate, rejuvenate and raise the bar in the real estate industry.
Marquette Turner is the result and I am incredibly proud that the company bears my name.
